What does your pricing start at? What is included in your packages?
All of my packages include a mix of film, Polaroid, and digital images which are hosted on your own personal gallery and provided on a USB with rights to print. An Album or Boxed Set of Prints is also included in every package. Each package also includes a minimum of 8 hours of coverage from me, and most packages include a second photographer. Wedding Collections begin at $2900. I'm happy to give you a customize quote for elopements and smaller wedding celebrations, please don't hesitate to reach out and ask.
Do you always have a second photographer or assistant with you?
90% of the time there is a second photographer included in your package. This allows for another perspective during your wedding day. I always work with other photographers that closely share in my artistic vision, and overall approach to capturing a wedding. In the case of an elopement or a smaller wedding celebration, I will customize a package that only includes me as your photographer if you wish. Engagement and boudoir sessions are always just me covering the session.
How can we get to talk to you more? Where are you located?
My home office is located in Southern New Jersey, and I am only 20 minutes outside of Philadelphia, PA. Many of my clients are out-of-state, so we can always Skype, Face Time, or have a simple phone conversation to start. If we aren't far from each other, I'm always happy to meet in person for coffee or a drink.
Do you travel for weddings? If so what is the cost?
If your wedding is anywhere within about 1-2 hours of a drive from Philadelphia, then there is no additional travel fee! If the travel is further than a 2 hour drive, we can discuss an appropriate travel fee or accommodations depending on the distance. If I am flying to where your wedding is, I only ask that you cover the travel costs and accommodations, there is no change in the package cost. If there is air travel involved, I often customize your package so that there is no second photographer with me, in order to keep your costs down. If you are planning a larger wedding with a lot of guests, and a second photographer is always a wise option. In this case I try to find a local (near your wedding location) photographer that I know to help me cover your day.
How do we book you?
Once your package and coverage choices are finalized, I will send you our contract. It will detail everything service and product related that I am providing for you When you sign your contract, I require a $1000 deposit to secure your wedding date with me. The remaining payment is broken up into two parts, one due halfway between the initial deposit and your wedding date, and the final payment due one week prior to your wedding date.
Do you have insurance? How about back up equipment?
Yes and yes!
How long is it before we get to see our wedding photos?
While it's true that photographing on film requires much less editing time than that of digital files , there is still a few weeks to wait to get the film processed and scanned. After that happens, I begin to chronologically organize both your edited digital files, and hi resolution scans of your film images together so that your gallery is a cohesive story of your day. The entire process from your wedding day until your gallery is ready to view is approximately 4-6 weeks. For engagement and boudoir sessions, the process takes about 3-4 weeks. This process can't be done well and rushed, as there is a great deal of time and care that goes into your finished images. There is not one single capture that does not pass through my hands and eyes in some form.
How many photos do we get from our wedding day?
Of course this depends on how long your day is, and if you have a me along with second photographer, or just me:) Generally speaking, there is between 500 - 700 images in your wedding day gallery.
Can we look at some full galleries?
Of course! Please email me at email@example.com and give me a little idea of the wedding you are planning. I like to show you weddings of couples that may have had a similar location or vibe to what you are going for.
Do you photograph anything besides weddings and engagement sessions?
I also offer Boudoir Sessions. I don't photograph many Family Portrait Sessions. It seems I don't have much open time to schedule them between what I specialize in and taking care of my own family, ha! In the future I may try to start offering nontraditional sessions when I have some open pockets of time in my year, so stay tuned. In the meantime, I am happy to recommend some industry friends who do a wonderful job with family, newborn, maternity sessions. Just shoot me a quick email with what you are looking for.
You shoot a mix of digital and film...is one better than the other?
I love both! One is not better than the other, they are just different approaches. You can read more about my take on this topic here.
